Free Love Calculator
Love Calculator by Name, Free
Two names, one number, about two seconds. No sign-up. And we show you where the score came from instead of just handing you a figure.
What is a love calculator?
It turns two names into one number. You will see it called a love meter, a love percentage calculator, a love match calculator, a true love calculator. Same thing, different label.
It is not a prediction, and we are not going to pretend otherwise. It is numerology: every letter gets a number, the numbers get added up, and the totals get compared. That is genuinely interesting. It also knows nothing about your history, or what either of you is like after a bad week.
So treat it as a starting point. Run the names, see the number, then go looking for a proper answer if you want one.
How the love calculator by name works
We use Pythagorean numerology, the most common system. Each letter is worth one to nine. A is 1, B is 2, on to I at 9, then it starts over at J.
Add up each name, reduce it to a single number, and you have two roots. Those get compared. Numerology treats some pairings as easy and others as hard work. A 2 and a 6 are both relationship numbers, so they sit together comfortably. A 4 and a 5 are steady versus restless, so they take more effort.
Plenty of names share a root, though, so we run a second pass over the raw letter totals to separate them. That is why Priya and Preeti do not score identically against the same partner.
One thing worth checking for yourself: the score never changes. Same two names, same number, every time, and it does not matter who you type first. If a calculator gives you something different on every reload, it is not calculating anything.
- Put your name in the first box
- Put the other name in the second, partner, crush, friend, whoever
- Hit Calculate love percentage
- Read the score, the band it lands in, and the two name numbers underneath
What your love percentage actually means
Look at the band, not the exact figure. A 79 and an 81 are the same result. The gap is noise.
- 85 to 99. Strong. Talking tends to come easily and you are comfortable quickly. Still takes work, it just starts further ahead.
- 70 to 84. Good, with room in it. You fit together without turning into the same person. The gaps are usually the interesting bit.
- 55 to 69. Different temperaments. Not a warning. A lot of long relationships live right here, held together by people who actually talk to each other.
- 38 to 54. More contrast than overlap. Says nothing at all about loyalty, kindness or whether you want the same things, because a name cannot see any of that.
Names or birth dates, which is better?
Names are quick and you always have them. If a name is all you have got, this is your tool.
Birth details tell you much more. A date, a time and a place give you a full Vedic chart, and a chart holds things a name never will. Where Venus sits, which governs affection. The seventh house, which governs partnership. The Moon, which governs how you feel things. And the dasha period you are in, which is often the real reason a relationship felt easy last year and hard this one.
That is the honest difference. A name gives you a number. A chart gives you a reason. If you want the reason, make your free kundli and ask Aura AI, or run a proper kundli matching if marriage is the question.
Love compatibility by zodiac element
If you know both signs, the elements are a second way in. Every sign sits in one of four, and the element says a lot about how someone shows up in a relationship.
- Fire, so Aries, Leo and Sagittarius. Direct, full of energy, quick to commit and quick to get bored. Easiest with Fire and Air.
- Earth, so Taurus, Virgo and Capricorn. Steady, practical, slow to let you in and solid once they have. Easiest with Earth and Water.
- Air, so Gemini, Libra and Aquarius. Talkers, curious, drawn to anyone who can keep up. Easiest with Air and Fire.
- Water, so Cancer, Scorpio and Pisces. Feel everything, protective, pick up on the mood in a room. Easiest with Water and Earth.
Who actually uses this
Nearly everyone, at some point, for completely different reasons. Someone with a new crush wanting a push either way. A couple three years in who run it for a laugh and then argue about the result. Friends doing their own names. Somebody thinking about marriage having a quiet first look before the serious version.
All fine. Just keep the weight of the answer in line with the weight of the question you asked it. Two names is not much to go on.
Beyond the percentage
A number cannot tell you why a relationship feels the way it does. That needs a chart.
Aura AI reads your actual birth chart and answers in normal language. Ask why the same argument keeps coming back. Ask whether this is a sensible time to commit. Ask what the two charts say together. It names the placements behind each answer, so you can see the reasoning instead of being handed a verdict.
First question is free, and you do not need to know any astrology to ask it.
Frequently asked questions
How is the love percentage calculated by name?
Every letter gets a number from one to nine, using Pythagorean numerology. Both names are added up and reduced to a root, and those two roots are compared on a compatibility grid. A second pass over the full letter totals separates names that happen to share a root, which is what gives each pair its own score.
Is the love calculator accurate or scientifically proven?
No. It is numerology, not science, and there is no research showing names predict relationships. It is a good starting point and we would rather say that than dress it up. If you want an answer with reasoning behind it, use a birth chart instead of a name.
Why do different love calculators give different results?
Different methods. Some use Pythagorean numerology, some use Chaldean, some fold in birth dates or zodiac signs, and some just return a random number. Ours is Pythagorean, and it is deterministic, so the same two names always come back the same.
Does the order of the names change the score?
No. It is symmetric. Type your name first or second, you get the same percentage.
What does a low love percentage mean?
That the two names share fewer numerological threads. That is all. Trust, respect, timing and wanting the same things decide far more, and this tool cannot see a single one of them.
Can a love calculator predict marriage?
No. For marriage, Vedic astrology uses kundli matching, which compares both charts across the ashtakoot gunas and looks for problems like Mangal Dosha. That needs birth details, not names.
Ask about the chart, not just the number
You have got the percentage. If you want to know what is actually driving it, Aura AI reads both charts and explains it in plain language. First question free.
